Talking about Indonesian culture, ESPECIALLY in eastern Java is not complete if you do not know karapan cow ESPECIALLY on the island of Madura, Kerapan or karapan cow is a term in the Madurese language used for naming a race cows.In Madurese culture, karapan cow is not just a popular party held every year Celebrations. Karapan cows also not just a tradition That Carried generations from one generation to the next. Karapan cow is a pride That Will raise the prestige of dignity in society. There are two versions of the origins of the name kerapan. The first version says That the term "kerapan" comes from the word "Often" or "kirap" which means "to Depart and released simultaneously or in droves." Meanwhile, another version states That the word "kerapan" comes from the Arabic "kirabah" which means "friendship". But apart from the two versions, in a general sense today, kerapan is a special attraction for animals cow horse race. For the record, in the region particularly on the island of Madura Kangean Competitions are similar races there that use buffalo. Buffalo Race is named mamajir and not kerapan buffalo.
